June 10th 2009Is there any hope of the The Wind Singer trilogy being made into a film (or three)?
William Nicholson responded:
No signs of any film company wanting to do it at present, I'm afraid.

June 10th 2009The brilliancy of your Trilogies fascinates me, if I may ask, will there be more? A few of my favourites are the Noble Warriors and the Wind Singers. Your novels provide me with such entertainment that I find it difficult to stop reading.
William Nicholson responded:
I'm always writing. I have a new book for young people coming out next year - not a trilogy and not fantasy - a modern love story called Rich and Mad. After that, who knows? But I can guarantee there'll be more.

June 9th 2009Sir, I loved the Wind on Fire Trilogy, especially the book slaves of the mastery. The idea of slaves of Slaves really got me thinking. D you relate that idea to this world, 'real' world? and you wrote 'without order there is chaos' does that mean that we can't get out of the slaves of slaves establishment? Your ideas are really interesting! many thanks Jessica
William Nicholson responded:
I do relate my ideas to the real world, yes; though of course in a story I feel free to exaggerate. Maybe slaves aren't around so much any more, but it's worth thinking about how much our own comfortable way of life relies on people in other parts of the world being paid virtual slave wages to produce the goods we buy.

June 9th 2009will you write another book in the seeker series? I really like them so I hope you do.
William Nicholson responded:
I'm glad you like my Noble Warriors. I've no plans for any more - and you must admit the trilogy did end with a bang. But I'm still writing more books...

June 7th 2009Hello again. I was reading some of the other questions written and I saw the one about bringing kestrel back, I think it would be a good idea, but I would love to hear more about Bowman and Sisi's kids. Also I was wondering about how the movies are coming along, have they chosen actors yet, or have they written the script for it?
William Nicholson responded:
The movie doesn't look as if it's going to happen, I'm afraid.

June 6th 2009in your last response you said you might come back to kestrel one day does that mean sometime in the furure maybe not even soon you might wright another book. and also you keep saying for me to write my own perspective on the next book but its your qualities and your way of writing and your adventure that make it so good.
William Nicholson responded:
I do understand. But right now my writing is taking another direction.
